The Call for applications aims to set up an expert group on cybersecurity of products with digital elements (CRA Expert Group), which will assist and advise the Commission on issues relevant to the implementation of the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA).
The Expert Group will represent a valuable forum for the Commission to gather input from relevant stakeholders, contributing to the successful implementation of the Cyber Resilience Act, a regulation which will benefit business users and consumers by enhancing the transparency of the security properties and promoting trust in products with digital elements, contributing to boosting the EU’s competitiveness and innovation potential.
The European Commission is inviting experts on cybersecurity to submit their application to the Cyber Resilience Act Expert Group.

It will be chaired by a representative of Commission’s Directorate General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology (DG CONNECT) and will be composed of up to 60 members (Member States’ authorities, the European Agency for Cybersecurity , ENISA, and individuals with relevant expertise and organisations), providing for diverse representation of the relevant stakeholders.
Experts will discuss matters related to the cybersecurity of products with digital elements and assist with the preparation of delegated acts as well as with the development of guidance documents.
The Commission has launched a continuously open call for applications for the selection of its members. A first round of evaluations is planned for the end of October 2024, and in order to be part of it, experts must send their applications by 17 October 2024
